Auto-connect
After every TV restart, and sometimes after standby, Android asks again for USB access. Auto-connect presses OK on that prompt for you, so the cable connects by itself.
What it does, and what it doesn't
- It only looks at the TV's USB prompts, and only for a short time after the app has asked for USB access.
- It presses OK on the prompt for this app's adapter. Nothing else.
- It doesn't read what's on screen in other apps and doesn't collect or send anything.
Android lists it as an accessibility service, because that's the only way an app may press a button on a system prompt. You'll see it as USB Ethernet Fix: auto-connect after restart.
Turn it on
- In the app, open Settings and select Auto-connect. The TV's accessibility settings open.
- Select USB Ethernet Fix: auto-connect after restart and turn it on.
- Confirm with OK, then press Back to return to the app. Settings shows On.
Turn it off
Same place: Settings, Auto-connect, then turn it off in the TV's accessibility settings. The app keeps working. You'll just need to press OK on the USB prompt yourself after each restart.
